What is Trinity Arts Workshop?
TAW is a student society in Trinity College Dublin. We run art classes during the evenings and weekends during the college term.
Can anyone attend the art classes?
Yes, although we are a student society our classes are open to anyone including the general public.
Do I need to be good at art to attend the classes?
Not at all. Our motto is art for everyone. It doesn’t matter whether you have been practicing for years or if it is your first time, we cater for all levels.
How do I book a class?
You don’t! Most of our classes work on a walk-in basis. Anyone can join in at any point during the year. We usually advice people to arrive early as classes can often be very fully so if you want to be guaranteed a seat be there early. We do sometimes run workshops that require booking and we advertise these over our website, Facebook page and around campus.
I have found a different website advertising classes for Trinity Arts Workshop why is this?
Unfortunately websites have been set up in the past and the username information was not passed on. Therefore we have no control over the information on these sites. We are attempting to get these websites removed but until then just try to ignore them.
How can I sign up to the TAW mailing list to receive information about classes?
Just send us an email asking to be added to the mailing list and we will add you. We try to send weekly emails during college term giving information about events and classes. Due to university society regulations we have to set up a new mailing list every year.
How can I join?
You can join at any class, just come along nice and early and you get your membership card. It’s only €3 for the whole year!
When is it?
Mainly on weekday evenings and Weekends. Take a look in our timetable section for class specific times!
Where is it?
We have two locations: the TAW Studio at 191 Pearse Street and the Pottery Studio in Goldsmith Hall.
Do I need to bring anything?
Only yourself! (and maybe some clothes you don’t mind getting a little mucky) We provide all basic materials. Of course if you want to bring your own you’re welcome to.
If I have any more questions, how do I get in touch?
